Breakfast at Fort Ruins

If you wish to spend a morning amongst the ramparts of ruined ancient fort then this is just the bustle you were looking for. Khaba fort is part of the famed Kuldhara village complex of Paliwal Brahmins that constituted an important landmark on the ancient silk route. It has sweeping views of the village ruins and desert landscape below and forms an idyllic spot to have the morning breakfast. The grazing cattle and peacocks can be spotted in the area. 

Sundowner at Dunes

Sunset over the horizon is one of the most iconic sight to witness while your visit Jaisalmer. And we have created the right ambience on the dunes to allow you to observe this spectacle. City Tours

Morning itinerary 

After breakfast we head straight to  Gadisar lake which is a short 4 minutes drive from the hotel. After an idyllic boat ride at the artificial lake it is another short ride to the Golden fort. It takes 2 hrs + to explore the fort most of which is by foot. After that comes the heritage walk which involves the local markets and havelis and then we are headed back to the hotel for a scrumptious lunch. 

Evening itinerary

After lunch we take the heritage walk where we stroll across the narrow by lanes of the inner city visiting the local markets and famed havelis. Then we head to the Golden fort which would take 2+ hours to explore mostly by foot. Gadisar lake is next which is a short 2 minutes drive. There is a light and sound show at the lake in the evening and puppet show at the Desert Culture Center situated next to the lake. 


Around Jaisalmer- 3 Hours

Bada bagh, Ludarva village, Vyas Chatri 

Form cenotaphs to lakes and temples, this half day outing is for those wanting to delve into the intricacies of sandstone architecture and enjoy the open landscape surrounding Jaisalmer town.

War Museum- 2 Hours

Situated on Jodhpur highway it can covered on the way if one is travelling by road to Jodhpur. Or else it is 15 min ride from city center. The museum has on display war equipment used by the army from latest to vintage and captured enemy hardware. Evolution of Indian army and the various battles it has fought is also nicely illustrated.

Longewala War Museum, Tanot Mata Mandir & Border Post– 6 hours

A 2 hour one way ride it is worth a visit if you have one afternoon and evening at your disposal.

Kuldhara Village &
Khaba Fort - 3 hours

17 kms from Jaisalmer lie the ruins of an abandoned village and fort which belonged to prosperous Paliwal Brahmins who forsake fourteen villages due to the atrocities of a state minister as per local legend.

Wood Fossil Park, Akal –
1 hr 30 min

Fossilized wood logs from forest dated to be 180 million years old are found in the park. Situated 17 km from the city, It is a paleontologist’s delight.
