If you wish to spend a morning amongst the ramparts of ruined ancient fort then this is just the bustle you were looking for. Khaba fort is part of the famed Kuldhara village complex of Paliwal Brahmins that constituted an important landmark on the ancient silk route. It has sweeping views of the village ruins and desert landscape below and forms an idyllic spot to have the morning breakfast. The grazing cattle and peacocks can be spotted in the area.

City Tours
Morning itinerary
After breakfast we head straight to Gadisar lake which is a short 4 minutes drive from the hotel. After an idyllic boat ride at the artificial lake it is another short ride to the Golden fort. It takes 2 hrs + to explore the fort most of which is by foot. After that comes the heritage walk which involves the local markets and havelis and then we are headed back to the hotel for a scrumptious lunch.
Evening itinerary
After lunch we take the heritage walk where we stroll across the narrow by lanes of the inner city visiting the local markets and famed havelis. Then we head to the Golden fort which would take 2+ hours to explore mostly by foot. Gadisar lake is next which is a short 2 minutes drive. There is a light and sound show at the lake in the evening and puppet show at the Desert Culture Center situated next to the lake.

Situated on Jodhpur highway it can covered on the way if one is travelling by road to Jodhpur. Or else it is 15 min ride from city center. The museum has on display war equipment used by the army from latest to vintage and captured enemy hardware. Evolution of Indian army and the various battles it has fought is also nicely illustrated.
